Kelli’s Kritter Sitting Services

TRUSTED & CERTIFIED PET SITTER FOR YOUR FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS IN SAN DIMAS, GLENDORA, COVINA & SURROUNDING AREAS

Trained through the American Red Cross for Cat & Dog First Aid

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved animals and nature. When I was a child, I was often hugging or holding a furry friend – if not mine, then someone else’s pet. To this day, on my swims, walks and hikes, I happily stop to save a bee from the pool, a snail from the road, or an earthworm from a hot sidewalk. I am passionate about critters and creatures!

An enjoyable part of my professional life is my role as a part time pet sitter. Meeting my client’s pets, building a relationship as I care for them while their family is on vacation, on a business trip, or away for some other reason, brings me such joy. I pride myself on the trust that my clients extend to me in caring for their four-legged family members.

Whether your dog or kitty is young, elderly or in between, I have experience in caring for all ages of pets. If your furry family member has medication or special diet requirements, you can trust that I will care for them just as I would my own precious pets (please note exceptions below).

Here are kind words from a few of my pet sitting clients…

“I am so grateful to know that our precious kitties are in Kelli’s caring hands when we are away on vacation. Our cats are family to us, and we have full trust in Kelli knowing that she will look after them with lots of TLC. Besides kitty care, Kelli goes above and beyond in bringing in the mail and packages each day, taking the trash cans in and out, watering the plants, and generally making sure the house in safe and sound. Kelli is like family to us, and we are so thankful for her! ~ Mari Lee - Glendora, CA

“Kelli is the best! I trust her completely with my pets, my home, my yard, and know that I can count on her to take care of my pets and my place when I’m away. She really is a God send and comes with my highest recommendation.” ~ John Dubin - Upland, CA

“I could not be more pleased with Kelli’s service as a house and pet sitter! For many years, I had a kitty that required daily medication and, of course, regular feeding and clean water, as well as litter box scooping. Kelli gladly performed these duties, gave Big Boy scratches behind the ears, and stood ready to contact his veterinarian if necessary. She also fed and supplied clean water to BB’s feral girlfriend, Mom cat, who remains aloof to people and prefers to eat behind the garage. She has been willing to follow all instructions and provide outstanding care for my cats, and her affection for them is genuine.

When I am away, Kelli waters indoor plants, picks up circulars, mail, and newspapers when necessary, provides supplemental watering for fruit trees, replenishes evaporated water in my fountain, brings in refuse bins after weekly pickup, and in every way possible, during two visits per day, makes my home appear to be occupied. Upon my return, my home is ready for me to resume living here without worrying about correcting neglect. I trust Kelli to operate my alarm system and alert me to any problems which require my assistance. She accepts responsibility fully and gives me peace of mind and freedom to travel!” ~ Mary G. - Covina, CA

Please read on to learn more about my pet sitting support, my rates, and the cities where I provide pet sitting:

Type and Number of Animals

I will pet sit for up to four animals while you are away. For safety reasons, I do not pet sit for aggressive animals who charge, growl, lunge, claw, or bite. Please note that while I love all creatures, my pet sitting services are geared toward dogs and cats. I do not have the experience necessary to care for large animals such as a horse, cow, or pig. I am also not as experienced with rabbits, reptiles, hamsters, gerbils, mice, turtles, birds, and fish. However, for small animals other than dogs and cats, I am open to discussing this if you happen to have a feathered or finned pet who needs food and water while I care for your dog(s) and/or cat(s). Each situation is different so we will need to discuss prior.

Pet Sitting Locations

I support clients and their pets in the following cities: Covina, Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, and Claremont. If you are in West Covina, Azusa, or Upland, please note that there will be a reasonable additional charge to cover my transportation time and gas for my vehicle.

Special Needs Animals

For pets that require special care or hospice, such as injured animals, animals recovering from surgery, end of life care, or overnight support, I am not able to spend the night or provide around the clock hospice care for special needs animals. In this case, it will likely be best for you to consult with your vet and consider boarding your animal while you are away.

Boarding and Transporting Animals

I do not board animals, nor do I transport animals to vet visits or grooming appointments. The only exception is if a life-threatening emergency occurs requiring immediate veterinarian assistance while you are away. It is important that you provide me with the name, phone number and location for your vet. I ask all clients to sign a release, and understand that transportation time and gas for my vehicle will be billed, along with any additional time requirement in the event of an emergency situation that requires more of my time.

Emergency Veterinarian

The 24-hour emergency vet I use is Glendora Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Glendora. If your pet is ill prior to your vacation, I will ask that you please consider boarding your pet, or hire another type of pet sitter who can stay with your pet around the clock as I do not provide these services. You are responsible for all costs incurred should your pet require an emergency vet visit. I ask all clients to please leave a pet carrier in case of an emergency situation.

Medication

I am not a trained veterinarian or vet assistant, and I do not have formal training with animals. However, if your animal is gentle with taking medication, and doesn’t bite or claw, I will be happy to provide medication following you and your vet’s instructions.  If the medication requires that I come to your home more than once per day, this will be factored into the pet sitting fee.

Most clients are comfortable with giving me a key and the alarm code; however, I leave that up to each client.
